Kru Rick Maresch
Kru Rick Maresch started training with Twin Dragon over 30 years ago, in 1988. In 2010 he received his red sash from Mick and Martin McNamara, the pioneers of Kickboxing in Canada. In the summer of 2012, he became owner of Twin Dragon North.
Rick received his Muay Thai Kru certification in 2018 from Ajahn Suchart, considered by many to be the godfather of Muay Thai in Canada, and the Sports Authority of Thailand. Rick is a professional referee of Kickboxing and Muay Thai fights, having been involved in that part of the sport for over 10 years, and currently works with Muay Thai Ontario, a provincially sanctioned organization. At 53 years old, he trains 6 to 7 days a week and is having the time of his life doing so. When not at Twin Dragon North, you will often find him at other gyms in the greater Toronto area, either training, getting in sparring rounds with friends, or working as a referee.
Frank Sasso has been with Twin Dragon for over 30 years. Frank is one of our lead instructors and teaches regular classes from 6:45pm to 7:45pm Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings.
Kru Chris Williams
Behind every great champion is a trainer and in every trainer is the knowledge and the traditions of an art that dates back centuries. Muay Thai is an ancient and highly effective combat striking form of art. Once upon a time it was a way of life and survival for the brave Thai warriors. This discipline is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins. A beautiful art of human endurance born from the fiery soul of strength deep within the hearts and soul.
Christopher a.k.a [Killa] a.k.a [Professor William] grew up on a small island in the Caribbean called Trinidad & Tobago. Christopher in his youthful years would often spend every moment of free time exploring his different passions in sport. Time spent at home had his gaze mesmerized by the movements of the fighters he watched in the boxing match with his father. » Read More About Kru Chris Williams
